[cisco-voip] locations based CAC and video marking

The fact that you have 3 different types of media in the locations should make it easy to align with your QoS config. If you are lumping voice and video together on the router you'll have to make sure the distribution in the location is accurate to the actual traffic profile for the link.

I get that.

So, we would need to perform additional calculations to determine location bandwidth in order to make sure oversubscription doesn't occur on the link for audio or video.

Locations-based CAC in UCM doesn't have any knowledge of what queue you drop the traffic into on the router.
You just need to make sure the numbers add up on both so that CUCM doesn't allow oversubscription of the link. The numbers you use for the location should be aligned with the QoS config for the link.

I think I know the answer but would like to confirm.

What would be the ramificaion with Location based CAC if video gets marked as EF as well as voice?

My guess is that video would then take up bandwidth in the PQ which CAC would not account for. Am I off base on this?

Thanks!
