Don't know about 10, but in 9.x it was all dependant on where you pointed the client.

Last time I setup IM&P for 9.1 the xml file didn't appear to have any effect and Jabber was pulling everything from the Service Profile. I even got TAC engaged and he agreed it didn't appear to be doing anything at least for the info we were trying to map. So that may be accurate.

    The Jabber-config.xml  or the Service Profile?

 

I’ve heard different feedback from various TAC engineers.

Note: In instances where a Service Profile and the configuration file are present, settings in the Service Profile

take priority.
