Hi Michele,

You are correct, we do not support changing the hostname in any version of CCX below 10.0 but introduced support for it with the 10.0(1) release.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_10_0/configuration/guide/UCCX_BK_W1AF9DDD_00_uccx-admin-guide-10-0/UCCX_BK_W1AF9DDD_00_uccx-admin-guide-10-0_chapter_01010.html#UCCX_TP_HEA72355_00

I would follow the document exactly and do not deviate. We have been working on improving the flow of the document and the steps contained therein based on TAC case experience around this process. If you have feedback on the document either after you review it or after you go through the procedure, please send it directly to me so we can get it in the document.

I would also highly encourage you to be on the latest SU of 10.x before you attempt the hostname change.

HTH.

Thank you,

All,

We are using the PUT tool to upgrade our UCCX HA cluster from 8.5.1 to 10.x and we are looking to change the hostname after the upgrade. I see changing the IP Address is officially supported but changing the hostname, in version 9.x, is not supported.

Curious, has this changed in version 10.x, and has anyone successfully changed the host name of the UCCX server after upgrading the system?

What are some of the caveats we would need to be aware of?
