[cisco-voip] 7945 more button does nothing under ITL (can't delete the ITL)

I noticed the defect details mention 8.5(2) as well. Old case notes shows the problem was resolved with an RMA a few months after it was discovered, and turned out being the result of a hardware re-design leading to sunlight leaking into the hook-switch. This was in early 2010 and the replacements were ready a few months after that.

But watching the customer activating a line appearance by blocking his phone from the sun via Jedi mind trick gestures… that was rather interesting ☺

So the sunlight only happens with CUCM 8.5(2).

Funny it certainly is. Reminds me of a quirky issue we found a while back. Had a customer who opened a case saying his phone was a vampire. The customer said his phone calls were being disconnected by sunlight. His phone was positioned on a desk where direct sunlight would hit the phone at around lunch time, and his calls would start disconnected every day at this time. It was hard to believe at first until we received a video showing the issue occur… it was unexpected to say the least.

Resulted in creating https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCtf65633

Turned out the optical hook-switch was being triggered by sunlight.

This is too funny. Yeah the button on the phone is broke. I can’t believe it!! We will have the customer RMA this phone….

Jason –
I just watched your video. Could it possibly be/have you checked mechanical? Have you confirmed that the mechanical aspects of the physical button is actually working? For example, at the beginning of your video with the phone onhook, have you tried to press the “More” button at that point to confirm that the physical button is actually working?

The More button doesn’t work to erase the ITL when it’s showing unlocked.

Looks like a timing issue that you should easily be able to work around. If you are seeing a lock icon then this isn't your bug.

1. Navigate to Trust List --> ITL file, we can see a secure lock icon ahead of the "ITL file" item name.

2. Unlock and erase ITL file. Menu will automatically closed and phone start to download ITL file again.

3. Before phone finishing restarting, navigate to Trust List --> ITL file again, we can see ITL file has already been downloaded again. But no secure lock icon displayed ahead of "ITL file".

4. No matter how long waited, this display will not change, unless exit Trust List and enter again.

If in doubt factory reset the phone.

I have a 7945 SCCP 9.1.1SR1S that I can’t press the More button in the ITL (it shows unlocked) to delete the ITL. Is the above my bug? What is the fix? It shows insufficient permissions in Bug Tooklit.

We hit CSCtn50405 CUCM DRF Backup does not backup certificates with a same version hardware replacement.
