[cisco-voip] PCD 10.5(3) and IM&P 9x to 10x

Actually, it might have been a user account with the same name, I can’t recall exactly. We had an app user “vcsuser” on both for Expressway. There also was a group called “VCS Users” for this purpose. One or both were problematic.
Fortunately I was able to find the problem in the upgrade logs. There was a SQL error when it found the duplicate names.

That's good to know Eric. Which admin group specifically are you referring to? Standard CCM Super Users?

We had an issue that caused our upgrade to fail: our admin group for application users on both CUCM and IM&P had the same name. The DB migration to CUCM didn’t like that. Renaming the IM&P group fixed that particular problem.
I informed TAC but the engineer decided not to enter a bug for it.

So I talked to my internal resource about this and it does work for some people but breaks more often than not. They don't have a document written up yet about the issues.
I would say to give it a try but plan ahead for potentially rebuilding if the upgrade fails.

Brian, Do you have any links for us to read on the topic? That's certainly a problem for me regardless of PCD. Thank you for addressing this.

My understanding is the upgrade process from IM&P 9.x to 10.x is completely broken right now using any method and Cisco is recommending a fresh rebuild on 10.x.

Has anyone experience with PCD and performing a Network Migration on IM&P? If not, how about performing a Network Migration on CUCM, and then how did you handle IM&P?
Thanks.
