Thanks. I actually just stumbled on the Jabber web SDK on the Dev site, which will probably do what I need –

The app is non-existent as of yet, just pondering some things – triggering real world events based on status, that type of stuff.

Doing some tinkering and looking for a way to monitor a particular users status from a third party app. I assume I could just do it via XMPP, but is there an preferred method for doing this?
