I submitted a feature enhancement request years ago to be able to do this when using UDS or AD but it seems to be low on the list.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Jabber Remove OtherPhone Mapping

According to the documentation (Jabber Parameters Guide), we cannot disable the mapping for the OtherPhone field. Additionally, nor can we rename it to something like "Video" or whatever.

Anyway, I just tried doing this: map it to an invalid field in AD, and it seems to work as a disable.

Can anyone comment on this approach, and if they've used it successfully?

Example (note the underscore at the end of the name to invalidate it):
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<config version="1.0">
     <Directory>
          <!-- Removes the OtherPhone mapping from Jabber for Windows -->
          <OtherPhone>otherTelephone_</OtherPhone>
     </Directory>
</config>
