Keep in mind that a region, only specifies the maximum bandwidth, but does not necessarily indicate that a call will use up to the maximum bandwidth codec configured for that region.

No, actually now using g711 for all regions and prioritizing g711 on incomming dial-peer on the voice gateway

Are you doing G.729 for calls from phones? Press "?" twice for an active call on 79XX series to see the negotiated codec.

The CTS 500 only supports G.711 and AAC-LD which is probably your issue- http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/telepresence-system-500/data_sheet_c78-468517.html

You'll need to make sure the regions are set up so G.711 is allowed to the gateway from the CTS 500 region.

Hello all,

I have a CTS 500 on my company which we want to enable pstn calls on it but whenever we try to make a call using this equipament it invoke transcoding no matter what region I use on CUCM.
But when I pull the handset from the phone the call goes normally without invoke the transcoding.
Can you help find what am I missing ?

We have CUCM 11, 1 local voice gateway 2811, connected to the PSTN through a E1 R2 digital trunk. And the CTS500-37 have the active load CTS_1.10.13(5)_P1 and a 7975 as dial- phone

Very best regards
