Hi Ed,

This is a permanent fix, but need to make sure that any subsequent ES you apply should contain the fix. Say, if you apply any of the ES’s that are currently available **today** then this fix is overwritten and you will need TAC to run the script again.
So you will either need to:

  * Get the fix from TAC and make sure any ES you install is released after this patch (so that it contains this fix)
  * Install the cop file directly once it is released

In the worst-case scenario where your fix gets overwritten, you can always have TAC re-run the script to install the fix manually. But after 20th, best to install the cop file directly.

Thanks for the update Abhiram!

I have a couple questions regarding the fix that TAC can apply, if you happen to know. Is it a permanent fix? If we open a case and ask TAC to do this, will we later need to apply the COP file anyway?

Also, do you know if either the TAC fix or the upcoming COP file cause a service disruption?

Next steps:

  1.  Standalone CUIC:

     * ES11 on 11.5(1) and ES07 on 11.6(1) will be released with the fix
     * Customers should install this if the fix is needed or want to upgrade to Chrome 67 and above in the future
     *   ETA: 20th June 2018

  1.  UCCX-CUIC

     *   A version-agnostic cop file will be released for customers on 11.5(1), 11.5(1)SU1, 11.6(1)
     * This cop can ONLY be installed on the latest ES on each of these versions. If the customer does not have that ES installed, they need to install the same and then install this cop file.
     * The COP file has logic that will prevent installation if the latest ES is not installed
     *   ETA: 20th June 2018
     * 11.6.2 will have this fix included

Till the ETA, TAC should be contacted for the fix which they will be able to run from their remote support account.

Is there an ETA for a cop file fix? Or will we have to call TAC. I see the bug now has instructions for TAC to fix.

Thanks for bringing this up Pavan. Official communications will go out to the field in the next one hour and the patch for the issue will be delivered to TAC in the next 2 hours.

Hello Folks,

There is a known issue with Chrome 67 impacting UCCE/X CUIC and Live Data. Cisco has opened defect CSCvj74116, but wanted to share in case you heard any reports about this. Chrome 67 upgrade has been out for about 24 hours. The workaround at this time is to use IE or downgrade Chrome to 65/66.
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvj74116

Cisco is working on a patch, but ETA on that patch is currently unknown.
