We did an offline upgrade for connection as well.

We ended up using our backup auto-attendant (CUE) with a set of simplified call-processing scripts to handle incoming calls.

We don’t accept voicemail on the backup service, but you easily could. That would take some time describing to clients. But if critical, it would work.

Thank you all for pointers ,

Lelio Fulgenzi , agreed on your approach but we might consider live upgrade only for Unity Connection .
