[ednog] TRILL or layer2 over Layer3

I was curious how many of you have looked at  Transparent Interconnection 
of Lots of Links (TRILL) or other layer2 over layer3 solutions.  If so, 
how are your thinging you would use it, and where do you see it being 
usefull in your network?

I am working on long range planning document and am trying to assess if my 
ideas are completely batty or not.
