Which hardware and software version are you considering?  Each  
different platform that I have worked with has different parts of  
multicast that works and doesn't work.

the mlx/xmr platform has had the most robust pim-sm so far, but the  
current version has an MSDP bug so we don't have an anycast RP on it  
at the moment.
