Thanks to all for your quick response

Yes we had to make it a /32 and not a /30

I had them to ospf routing and I can now ping each other.

Hi,

Loopback interfaces are local interfaces which should be addressed with
/32's. You cannot reach them directly.

You will need a dynamic routing protocol as OSPF to make the route to
both loopback interfaces available in the routing table.
