Thank you for the reply – I forgot to add that the entry also disappears.
It’s gone from the arp table after ten seconds – until I bring it back with a ping.
e.g
show arp 10.1.1.2 9
seen
show arp 10.1.1.2 9
seen
show arp 10.1.1.2 9
seen
show arp 10.1.1.2 9
seen
show arp 10.1.1.2 9
seen
4 more seconds…
GONE
Even if it’s not sending traffic – I would hope it stayed longer than that.
There is not arp commands in the config – this is on the turbo irons and the FCX’s – am I missing something??

Hey Nick, that is the time since that arp was last seen, once the age hits 240 it would disappear. If it's active, it will refresh the age. I am pretty sure it's in minutes, not seconds.

The documentation states that he default is 240 minutes (4 hours – same as cisco)
I imagine the age is in seconds below?
