S meter problem

The drifting "S" meter is usually due to the 6AU6 at V3.  There was a
time when Heath recieved some defective 6AU6's from it's supplier.  Turns
out they had 4-volt filaments in them, thus producing excess emissions!
Try swapping the tube in V3 with one of the other 6AU6's, or a new tube
if one is available.
