First, thanks to WB6GHA and KJ6XH for ideas and encouragement.

After further poking it's obvious there's been a major mod - many parts are
completely missing from the AF board & lots of re-wireing around the audio
stages/

I'd like to return it to original condition...  it sure would be nice if the
darned manual had a component layout of the AF board.  Wonder if different
vintage manuals have a layout - will gladly reimburse expenses for a copy of
the pix and express my undying gratitude!

For now, I'll slog away reverse kitbuilding.
