Great way to start off, Mark.

I posted this want this morning, but there are 86 more subscribers now! So
here goes again:

Wanted - DX-100. Must be cosmetically good, does not need to work. Prefer
if it was all there (knobs, meter, modulation xfmr :-) and relatively
un-modified.

As for my background, I had a DX-60 back in my novice (read XTAL controlled
75W) days. When I upgraded, I bought a NEW HG-10B and built it! What an
experience for a 15 year old! I worked great. Lusted after the SB-100,
then the HW-100, but, alas, no $$. So I ended up with a used Apache
TX-1/SB-10 from "Ham Headquarters, USA", Harrison Radio, NYC. Now THAT was
a boatanchor! Took both me and my dad to get it's svelte 107 lbs upstairs
to the attic shack!

Add about 10 years, and I am out in AZ (from NY) and need a low-cost rig to
do FD with, since in my short-sightedness, I was rigless in June. Along
came a NEW HW-8 from Heath, and another FB kit building experience!

Between the HW-8 and now have been a DX-40, AR-3, DX-35, QF-1, not to
mention the SWR meters, phone patch, etc, etc. Plus a couple of VTVMs and
'scopes.

So now it is back to the old days to try and put the old-time fun back into
radio. Eventually I want to have a TX-1/RX-1/HA-10/SB-10/AK-4 combo set up
and on the air. Someday I'll find them.....

Say, if QRP'ers say 72 (because they run low power) shouldn't we say 74
(because the rig weighs as much as the operator)?

OK, that's my piece, who's next?

74,
Scotty WA2DFI
