HW-101

Hello all,

My name is Jerry and the qth is southern Indiana and the call is WD9CTB.
I'am glad to find a list for Heath gear and just signed onto it yesterday.

I just picked up an old HW-101 at a hamfest.  After a good clean up and
checking all of the tubes I fired it up.  Receive is not too bad although
it was a little squirrely when tuning across a signal and drifts a little.
The transmitter is another matter.  It showed about 90 watts or so output
on 40 M but when in the tune position if fell off pretty fast.  Suspected
bad finals.  Finals checked out ok.  Now it does not have any output at
all.  I'am getting B+ to the finals and the driver tube checks out ok.
Anyone have any ideas?

I also have (3) HW-16's.  Two of them work and the other one is waiting on
me to fix it.  I only have one HG-10 VFO.  This is one of my favorite Heath
rigs from back in the novice days.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the list.  Thanks for the
bandwidth and any help on the '101 would be appreciated.
