The 1952 Heath catalog shows the O-7 and the 1954 catalog shows the O-8!

I have a "Summer Flyer", 1953, that lists the O-8. There are no
"specifications" as such, just a description.

"The outstanding 1953 Model O-8 Heathkit Oscilloscope features the finest
performance ever offered in this popular kit instrument. ...

Improved vertical bandwidth is obtained through the use of shunt peaking
chokes with proper cathode compensation in the vertical push-pull output
stage. ...

Provisions have been made for direct connection to the deflection plates...

A Z-axis input and a spot shape control for really fine focusing...

Vertical sensitivity has been incresed to 0.025 volts per inch...

Wideband sweep generator with 15 - 100,000 cps range...

Provisions for internal or external synchronization...

Shielded transformer - push-pull balanced deflection - calibrated graph
screen...

10 tubes, including a 5" CRT

The "October Flyer" says - -

Vertical amplifier +/- 2 db from 10 cycles - 1 Mc, useful beyond 5 Mc...

New drawn, baked enamel front panel and formed aluminum cabinet...

5CP1 CRT

Available "Intensifier Kit" for extreme trace brilliance in special
applications... Provides 2200 volt operation with HV filter condenser,
high voltage selenium rectifier, etc. $7.50

Price $43.50, shipping weight 29 pounds.

Whew! Now you know more than you ever wanted to know about the Heath O-8
Oscilloscope kit, short-lived though it was. Probably a good collectible,
since it was the first Heath use of drawn panels, formed cases, etc.
