No one has enough room in their basement or wherever to hang on to all
the test equipment ever made by Heath, and I have stripped a number of
pieces myself. But *pristine* pieces of test gear are not common and I
think some thought should be given to preserving them. Even if you never
use them, their classic design and appearance (and weight) make them
worthy of a bookend at minimum.
Having collected all the radio stuff, I have been looking at Heath test
gear (esp VTVMs) as a very inexpensive and rewarding challenge. Perfect
or near perfect pieces are as rare as any of the rarest radio products.
