sb220 qeustions

Hi. Name's Mike, N9IVO.

I recently bought an SB220 amp from a friend. He got it from an estate sale and
had never used it. Anyway, it seems to work very well. Being my first amp, and
also my first Heathkit, I have a couple of questions.

The amp tunes well on my Cushcraft R5 on 17 meters on the 15 meter position.
Will this damage the amp? I know that when the amp was built, we didn't have
the WARC bands yet.

Is there a kit or mod to gain 160 meter ability from the amp? 160 is a tough
band
to use barefoot, especially in the summer months!

The ALC circuit doesn't seem to match the voltage expected from my Kenwood
ts440s.
The amp's alc circuit is cutting the ts440's power to about half no matter what
mode or drive I use. Without the alc hooked up, it works perfectly. Any Ideas??
