Hi Wayne:
If you can find the Nov., Dec. 97, and Jan 98 issues of ELECTRIC RADIO,
you will find the answers to your questions. K6AD wrote a three-part
article "New Hope for Your Heath Mohawk" that addresses the AGC, the
audio section and VFO drift. The articles are excellent and will solve
the very problem you have.  Back issues of Electric Radio are available
