Heathkit Dial Slippage...

Here's one that a veteran Heathnik could probably fix standing on his
head...!

I'm restoring a very nice SB-300 "keeper" receiver, & am absolutely vexed
by the dial slippage / backlash...

Does anyone out there have any "...quick & dirty" fix for this
condition...? I guess it's the curse of the SB-line...any & all feedback
appreciated!
