HW-101 Birdies

Hello, friends:

I just bought a very clean (cosmetically) HW-101 from a local ham who
hadn't used it for a while.  Just checking 20 and 15 their seemed to be
alot of birdies, some of them ear-splitting, especially around 14.2 and
21.2 MHz.  Has anyone got any ideas on correcting this problem, or is it
a characteristic of the rig?
