How were HW-9's sold??

 Hello Group,

 I wonder if anyone might know how the HW-9 kits were sold?
Was the WARC bandpack sold as an option or could a person
buy a complete HW-9 with the bandpack included inside the
box?? If the kit did have the bandpack inside, would it be called
something else besides HW-9. Like maybe, Deluxe HW-9??
 Just curious.
