Thanks for all the input on the difference between the HW-100 and 101.
I can now hold my head up high when someone asks me the difference and I
say. "1", plus or minus depending upon which model you are talking
about.
The reason I asked was I made a straight swap for a HW-100 for an old
oscilligraph.. (Yes, oscilligraph) I had lying around. Having a 101
in Ron Oxley's shop under his expert care, I was just curious about the
difference.
Since the 100 is in somewhat less than perfect operating condition, I
thought it might be a good candidate for "reverse-kiting", that I read
posts on earlier on this reflector. Then naturally of course,
re-assembling.
On the subject.. What is a Heathkit? Hmmm, well to me.. It reminds
me of time I spent with my Father back in '72 ( I was eleven ) we
built a Heathkit shortwave radio together.. God rest his soul.
