It really gives you a feeling of accomplishment, even though you were
following someone else's directions, and didn't design it yourself.

I think I put in about 12 hours to build it.  I would work about an hour,
then set it aside for a while.  Working with a magnifier is a little tiring.
Never rush when you're building kits; it pays off in less errors.  The only
problem I had was that the frequency range was too high at first.  A little
readjusting of the turns on the vfo toroid brought it right on the money.
It was a lot easier than the SB-401 I built (and still use) many moons ago.

Try it, you'll like it!
