Inexpensive SWL recievers

I think that we have all become a little hazy about these SWL receivers,
I am positive that the GR-64 was the inexpensive 4-tube unit that did
regenerate with the BFO control; and the GR-54 was the 6-tube unit with
the TRF stage. I had the cheaper GR-64 first, then sold it and bought
the more expensive GR-54. In spite of the fact that 64 is a bigger
number than 54, the 54 was the best unit, and bigger.
Then I got a Drake R4-C with all the bells and whistles (sorry about
that, but it was a dream receiver for me). Then I sold it in 1975.
