I was real curious to hear a short note of what you actually fixed and how you
trouble shot your problems with the DX-60.   That is interesting to me,
personally.  Have you made any 80M AM contacts with the DX-60 yet?
What was the answer to the question of the pin Hole in the D-104 Microphone
element?


I think that the Menu Inc.  QRP Plus Direct Digital Siginal Generator might be a
good replacement for an oscillator to drive the DX-60 if you wanted a VFO
http://www.nexusenginc.com/.   You get Frequency Display, two VFO's A & B,
10hz-40Mhz  Frequency range.  RS-232 control.

I just wanted to take the time out to say thanks to all of you that have
helped me figure out this DX60 and the things that are going on inside.  I
was restoring the second of the radios this past week and when I ran into
trouble with a broken wafer switch, Bill, K1IBR, sent me a free one in the
mail!  Now my dx60 is on the air.  I just wanted to say thank you to all of
you that sent me FT-243 crystals.  Without the help of this reflector, I
think the dx60 would have forever sat in ruin in the back of the shack.  It
is not very often that people in the world come together for a common goal
without the constant reward of compensation, such as normally  in the world.
I appreciate all of you.  Thanks for making my day alot happier! Amateur
