Hi,
My Boxboro prizes (HX-20 and HR-20) seem to be alive after all. Have
them running right off a good ol' HP-23, but...
WANTED: 464-24 drum dial for the HR-20. Mine is checkered and markings
are very worn. Anybody have a "parts car" out there??
The HX-20 works very well in CW (60W keydown) but weak on audio gain.
Have to run the gain wide open to get much SSB output at all. Tubes all
check okay on my Hickock and the realignment went according to the
book. Anyone have any ideas as to how to bet more audio punch?
The HR-20 drifts quite a bit in the first half hour from a cold start.
Are there any known fixes for this, such as temp compensation?
