dx-60 one down, one to go

I fixed the squeal in the dx-60. It was the trailing off of the carrier
when I selected 'stand-by' from the 'AM' position. Apparently the small
yellow wire from the 470k ohm resistor and "power on light" had broken and
laid itself down behind a screw. I reattached it to the 110V/30ma secondary
wire which now allows the "power-on light" and the -130v line to come
together. Now the rig turns to standby without the 6 second fading of the
carrier to off. It is now clean.
The only problem I now face, is that I have a carrier, but no
modulation. I can transmit a clean cw note, but when I hook up the D-104,
there is no voice on the carrier. Back to the drawing board. The rig loads
up fine. Maybe it is one of the tubes. Although I just replaced them.
Any ideas? Greg.
