Unusual Heath book

The Antique Radio Club of Illinois swap meet today produced a find that
neither I nor anyone who I showed it to had ever seen before. It's a
three-ring notebook titled "Heathkit Technical Application Bulletins", "a
Heath Company Customer Service". Inside, there's an index and comments
referencing "original $2.00 offer". About 50 different application notes,
describe basic electronics experiments or measurements that can be performed
using Heathkit test equipment made in the early 1950s. For example, there's
one on interpreting lissajou patterns, troubleshooting using the o'scope,
applications for the AC VTVM, etc. Still good reading today!

An interesting sidenote: nearly all were written by Louis E. Garner, Jr.,
copyrighted in 1952-3. Lou Garner may be best known for introducing a
countless number of hobbyists to the solid state devices through his
monthly column "Transistor Topics" in Popular Electronics magazine, but
there's no doubt Mr. Garner knew his vacuum tubes - and his Heathkits - as
well!

Has anyone else heard of - or own - this book?
