AR3 main tuning Cap

Hey out there in Heathville,
does anyone have an AR3 they could check?  Need to know if main tuning cap
had a reduction drive on it (I refer to a dual shaft with internal ball
bearings, allowing, say, a 3 to 1 reduction in speed when knob is turned. The
unit I just got is direct drive (1 turn of knob, 1  turn on cap), but looks
like it has a frozen reduction drive. Before I try to unfreeze a solid piece
of metal that is just a heavy shaft (for dial string pulley) turned down for
the std size knob, I'd like to know. Its been too long since I was a kid and
had one.
