I missed the tube word; I recall now; a bit before my time, there was a
series used in the Korea thru early Vietnam days (and a bit later in NG and
Army Reserves) around 10 meters that this set is part of. They had a ver for
Infantry, one for Art'y and another for armor/cav, engineers, etc. There were
few overlap freq's, but a higher HQ had all sets and relayed info. The
concept died out and now all can intercom in better faster info exchange. We
operate from 30-72 MHz (except for 6 Meters, although our sets have it), with
different nets for each branch, company, batallion, etc, but with ability to
enter other nets as req'd. The set you have is a good radio, and can be used
for ten FM monitoring, as well as by military collectors and re-enactors who
"do" the Korean War or early Vietnam and possibly it could pass for WW2.
Search for that topic and you should find a list that is seeking this set.
And get u a better price as well.
