I think we all know there was a difference in the connectors that Collins
used compared to the ones that Heath did, but I agree that mounting an
SO-239 on the back of any of the 100's,101's or 102's etc. is a big mistake.
Not only that, it's easier to just make up a short coax jumper with a
phono(RCA) plug on one end and a PL-259 on the other.  If you use RG-8X,
it's very flexible and will last forever.

Of course, you could also use one of the previously mentioned adapters, but
I have found that they place too much stress on the phono jacks especially
if RG-8 is used.
