A better mechanical arrangement is used inside some Motorola sets.  Make a
short RCA male to UHF/N female jumper cable of less than a foot.  Best is to
use a chassis/bulkhead type of female on a small bracket mounted conveniently
to desktop, on back of radio (using existing scew) etc., to form strain
relief.  Use smaller coax, per wattage of set. This gives good electrical
performance and allows normal coax fed accy's without radio mod and no strain
on Heath rear connector.
