For those interested, reference to the above-captioned can be found on
page 105 of the assembly manual under the heading "LMO LOAD". Pictorial
13-25 shows the assembly method. On page 130, Figure 26 shows the load
plugged into the LMO OUT jack. Finally, on page 132 is the note which
should have been made at the beginning in great big bold letters "The
LMO load MUST be connected to this socket when the transmitter is
disconnected". I'm one of those people who doesn't have the time to read
an entire assembly manual just to get a receiver going. I don't think
anyone else should have to either. I had plenty of time during a
cross-country trip and that's how I passed the time.
On another note, my SB-303 turned out to be an almost total rebuild. In
fact, I removed practically all the components from the pc boards and
started fresh. The soldering was so poor that it was almost impossible
to fix anything permanently. After rebuilding and cleaning the boards,
switches, contacts, etc...it works fine.
