Aw, be brave, just buy a pair.

I had a couple ham friends who shared a house. Both did repair and
homebrewing. They went to the trouble of putting nail polish (in lieu of
so-called 'glyptol') on screws to keep them from vibrating or something
(kind of neurotic in my opinion on the bottom plate screws for a rig,
anyway).

One guy's parents were visiting, and the other guy working on a rig yells to
the other; " Hey, where's the red nail polish?"

The first guy's parents were definitely taken aback.
