I have retubed my HW-101 with tubes I have bought at hamfests with excellent
success.  When you retube replace the 6EA8 at V1 with a 6CQ8.  I recommend
6146B's for the final, and neutralize them by disconnecting the screen and
plate voltage.  Had my 101 for 23 years and still going strong as the main
QRO rig.  The rest of the gear is QRP.
