Merry Christmas everyone!

I have one of the heath mono banders a hw22(?) (40 meters)
no manual no schematic...

there is a 8 pin tube socket toward the rear by the final cage. What's that
for? A calibrator?

so, can anyone supply me with a schematic and let me know what the socket is
for?
