Cross (ps diodes)

That diode was used in just about every Heathkit going that didn't used a
5U4.  It is a 500PIV - 750 ma. A good general-purpose replacement is the
1N4007 whitch is rated at 1000PIV - 1Amp.  For the HP23 power supplies, I
usually replace the two series diodes in the 800V supply with one 1N5408
rated at 1KV - 3Amp.  All of  these diodes are as cheap as dirt.
