The 6AU6 is listed as a substitute for the 6HS6, although you might see
reduced sensitivity in with the 6AU6.  Infact, the SB-101 can be
"upgraded" by simply replacing the 6AU6's with 6HS6's (as Heath did with
the SB-102.)  Anyone know of a good (i.e. cheap) source for 6HS6's?
