My old GE Prog Line puts out a solid 60 Watts on 2 meters, but that is not
running them at their full ratings.  They could easily do much better if the
operating conditions were ICAS rather than CCS.  The 6146 was originally
designed for VHF use, and only adapted to HF later.  It then became and
still is a classic universal toob for hams, much like that venerable old
standby, the 807.  Some of the HF rigs do not have the output circuit
parameters optimized for the higher frequencies, ie 15-10 meters, and power
output does drop some, but that is not the fault of the 6146.
