Hi Bob:

Thanks, Bob.  5894 was the tube I couldn't remember from those radios.  I
was thinking of 6850's for some reason.

I don't recall seeing 6146's in high band VHF radios, that's why I made the
comment.  Low band VHF Motracs had 6146's.
