Buzz says:

I have heard from RICK MISH (who does all the major-league
restoration videos that HI-RES does) that NOS (NEW OLD STOCK)
capacitors should be considered BAD. Caps go bad by AGE, not
necessarily by USE, according to him. Sounds reasonable to me.

Can anybody recommend anyone ELSE who sells multi-section
caps? AG TANNENBAUM states right out the gate that HIS are
NEW OLD STOCK. I want NEW NEW STOCK ONES going in MY stuff.

 any ideas? Thank you.

 BUzz

I sez: Hey Buzz, send me all those New Old Stock electrolytics! My
experience is that 95% will reform and be as good as new. My reading
says that heat is the biggest ager of more modern (1950 and on)
electrolytics. Other types of caps (paper and some ceramics)
do absorb moisture and so go bad with age - NOS papers ARE
likely to be bad.

I believe that Antique Electronic Supply (www.tubesandmore.com)
(phone 602/820-5411) has NEW multi-section electrolytics
(Mallory, made in Mexico) if that is what you desire.
