In regards to Ed's comment,  owning all instruments in question;  One of
the main differences is that the IM-25 is a solid state VOM, verses the
IM-28/5228 which of course is tube.  The IM-25 does not fair well around
strong RF fields relative to the tube version, Heath even warned about this
in the advertising.    The IM-25 is more portable due to battery supply and
not considering the size.  Love all those large meters!  Dave
