Now that the weather has made travel reasonably possible(!) here in the
frozen land north of the 49th parallel, I hope to execute a trek some time
this week to my sole source of spreader insulators such that I might
replenish my supply...
If anyone is interested, I can pick up extra stock for your *own*
homebrewed open-wire feed system(s). These spreaders are, indeed, "...the
real McCoy": N.O.S. white glazed ceramic, overall length of 6-1/8", with a
hole-to-hole spacing of 4-3/8", & a diameter of 3/4". They make EXCELLENT,
super HEAVY DUTY feedlines, displaying characteristics impedances from
about 510-ohms (with #8 wire), to 620-ohms (#16 wire)...
In pairs, they make for excellent terminating insulators for dipoles,
too...
Price each: $3.00 U.S. POSTPAID.
If interested, please let me know by return E-mail, & I'll add your wants
to my own personal list. Hopefully, they'll still be available...for BOTH
of us!
Tnx & 73, de Eddy VE3CUI - VE3XZ
