HX-10 Marauder VFO Trap

Hello Heath-type folks....

Recently completed a rebuild of my HX-10 and re-tuned
both the 20m and 40m traps.  I notice there is an added
series-tuned trap from the VFO output to ground in the
VFO mixer stage. This circuit is located next to the
het osc/mixer coil compartment but the components
are mounted on the BOTTOM of the chassis. There is
no lettering on the chassis to identify the function of
this added circuit.

My instruction manual makes no mention of this trap
although the schematic does show it....

Anybody have any info on this circuit ?
