Yes - an argument can be made for this. What I do on my lists (which I
closely supervise) is to tell subscribers NOT to post without checking
with me first, and NOT to inform anyone that they have posted a bogus
alert - as listowner I'll also take care of that. In addition, a note
is auto-generated to the list every two weeks or so cautioning subscribers
about hoaxes, over-quoting, etc. This is a pretty "hands-on" sort of
supervision, though.
