bringing back the shine to heath knobs is simple and easy .I've done it
for 20 years . i use this method in all my cleaning and restore jobs .

step 1 . remove all knobs from equipment .

2 . soak in hot water with dish soap.
let soak for 2 to 3 hours . maybe over nite .

                                3. take knobs out one at a time and
brush with a soft tooth brush .removing all dirt, smoke , and fungus .

                               4. set on a towel after cleaning. do not
dry .

5 . now spray with armerall . wipe with
soft towel and polish . they look almost like new .( this is for the
dx-100 ,
                                  dx-60, style of knobs .)

now for the sb type knobs here is what
i do .

step 1 . wash with a dish soap do not soak
as the centers may fall out . metal inserts .

                                    2. use armerall and polish them as
well with a soft cloth .

3 . if you need new inserts for your
sb knobs buy the same ones the collins person is selling . they fit well
.
spinner knobs , or just the
plain round ones .

i hope this info will be a big help to you all . keep
those heathkits looking like new .
